Deadly Vows: Echoes of College Crimes wins at International Impact Book Awards!!!!!
I am honored to share that my second book in the Hannah Walker Mystery Series, Deadly Vows, has won at the International Impact Book Awards!!! Winning this award means so much to me and to my writing career as a published author. As an author, I want to connect with my readers, and I know many people have questions about how this book came to be. Well… before reuniting with someone special in my life, as I was driving up the coast, I found myself asking, “What if he doesn’t remember who I am? What if he’s lost his memory?” After saying goodbye to him, I went home and began typing the story of how Hannah ends up losing her memory. There were so many emotional layers that went into writing the letter Rafael writes to Hannah near the end of DVEOCC, and those layers shaped the book in ways I hadn’t expected.
How did i come to win this prestigious award??? Well, before i went to Arizona in February, a month before i submitted the manuscript to IIBA. The waiting was crucial, but worth it in the end. Stay tuned for more books!!!
