Character Profile: Tatiana
Tatiana, the stunning and captivating illusionist whom Hannah encounters in Paris Noir: Deadly Obsession, plays a pivotal role in both the first half of the book and again near its conclusion. She becomes the person who helps Hannah begin to see life from a different perspective, showing her that with focus and determination, almost anything you set your mind to can be accomplished. Tatiana is also the lone witness when the final showdown unfolds in the church in Paris, and she later returns in the fourth book, The Thirteenth Riddle: A Poisoned Silence, as the godmother to Hannah’s daughter. Through her gentle insistence and daring example, Tatiana teaches Hannah that life doesn’t always have to be about chasing shadows or constantly running; sometimes it’s about the people you meet along the way and the moments that simply feel right. The right person can change you, Tatiana shows Hannah, reminding her that life is short and that “eventually” rarely arrives unless you make things happen.
She is someone who, the moment Hannah meets her, knows she will change her life for the better. Tatiana is the woman to whom my books are dedicated. She is always cheering me on and offering wise advice when I need it most; she is my trainer and life coach, and I am honored to include her in the third and fourth books respectively. After the evens of Paris Noir Deadly Obsession we learn that she has left her life as an illusionist behind and is focusing solely on caring for her goddaughter and continues to offer advice to Hannah along the way.
