How Deadly College Murders came to be
Hi Everyone! My name is Bree and I am the murder mystery author for Deadly College Murders. The first in the series of the Hannah Walker Mystery Series. My writing journey began in 2019 at Cerritos College when I was majoring in Administration of Justice. I remember being bored and I began wondering if it would be interesting if there was a murder at a college and I could be the one to solve it. I had always dreamed of becoming like Sherlock Holmes and solving a murder. Fueled by a fascination of with mysteries and moral complexities, I found inspiration in my professor R.G whose quiet strength and intellect, helped me in creating the character of Rafael, Hannah’s godfather who is protective of her. While the book was initially going to be a love story, between the characters of Hannah and Daniel, I quickly switched focus into the unbreakable bond between Rafael and Hannah. The pandemic is what inspired me to continue writing my masterpiece and the memories of my former professor R.G is what continued helping me in shaping his character. While the ending was going to end in NYC, i chose to end it in Paris, after living my adventures in Europe!
